At Meridian Primary School, we truly believe that Every Child, A Leader.

Inspired by Kouzes and Posner’s The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, the school provides a range of class-based, level-wide, CCA-based and school-wide leadership trainings and opportunities for our students to hone their leadership skills based on the following five practices:

We strongly encourage our students to put these 5 practices frequently into actions to grow as a leader.

The Student Leadership Development Framework

At Meridian Primary School, every child is given the opportunity to learn leadership practices, hone leadership skills and serve the school and community. Leadership programmes are designed for the different tiers of students, catering to every child’s readiness levels. At lower primary, cohort leadership trainings are conducted for students to first learn the skills. At upper primary, cohort-based programmes are designed for students to apply their skills in the various projects and activities.

For students who display greater leadership potential, they serve in specialised student leader groups, such as the Student Council, CCA Leaders and Class Leadership Committee (CLC).
