Home-Based Learning

Home-based Learning (T3W1 - 28 Jun to 2 Jul 2021)

1. As Singapore moves into Phase 3 (Heightened Alert) with gradual easing of community safe management measures (SMMs), the Ministry of Education (MOE) will progressively bring students back to school after the June school holidays.

2. To ease into full resumption of school when Term 3 begins on Monday, 28 June 2021, the following arrangements have been made for students from primary school for the first week of school:

From Monday, 28 June 2021, Primary 4 to 6, will return to school.

Primary 1 to 3 students will be on HBL for the first week, and schools will continue to provide instructions and support for students to access online and hardcopy HBL materials.

3. All levels of students will return to school from Tuesday, 6 July 2021 onwards, as Monday, 5 July 2021 is a school holiday (Youth Day).

4. The school will adopt a single time-table for both HBL and in-school lessons so that our students could follow a routine when regular schooling resumes for all levels.  Please refer to Page 3 for your child’s / ward’s time-table.  While we encourage your child / ward to adhere to the time-table, there is no need for them to follow it rigidly during the HBL week as HBL is largely asynchronous. Please click here to locate your child's / ward's class HBL plan.

5.  HBL will take the form of online and offline learning; we will continue to provide instructions and support for students to access a range of both online and hardcopy HBL materials so that learning continues. The Singapore Student Learning Space (SLS) will continue to be the Primary platform for online learning, and online learning is kept to a maximum of 2 hours a day.  Students are encouraged to work with their parents/ guardians on a home study schedule to optimise their learning.

6.  Our teachers will continue to monitor the learning progress of your child and be in regular contact with you and your child to provide support during this transition.  You may contact your child’s / ward’s subject teachers should you need any clarifications pertaining to the respective HBL assignments.

7. During school operating hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.), students should contact the School-based Helpline at Tel:  6583 2125 for SLS queries including all SLS access matters such as password reset and unlocking of accounts, as well as queries about lesson assignments.
